Cut is a modular ambient lighting system. Inorganic EL, a lighting source thin as paper, is delicately cut out like a traditional Japanese craft of “kirie” (paper cutout craft).
The simple laser-cutting method enables production into various sizes and shapes.
It can be hanged or hooked, handled like fabric or paper, giving a mysterious existence to the product.
Magnets inside the frame enable each module to connect to one another. Hooking wires to the hook holes allows hanging from the ceiling.

Experiment
Inorganic EL is a paper-thin lightning device. Illuminates by applying voltage directly to the Inorganic compound, enabling cutting by scissors or cutter knives. Exploring the potential of the mysterious material.
